As the 2020 Covid lockdown continues, one casualty has been the annual Kingsbury Fair in Somerset, UK which takes place over a weekend close to 1st May. Here are some pictures I took from the fair in 2018 to remind us of more normal times. Mr Punch is probably my favourite.

Thanks for your comments Eromonsele. The original meaning of the fair was to celebrate Spring and the coming Summer and has its roots in a pagan celebration of fertility. But I think these days the fair is just to get everyone together and have fun. Kingsbury is a neighbouring village to where I live so some years I go along to join in.
